2 Peter 1:12-21
“I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth” (2 Peter 1:12). Just like John and Jude in their epistles! So let’s not forget two lessons:
- We don’t always remember what we know.
- We need someone who does remember to remind us.
Remember: forgetfulness of God and His work leads to bad things. Don’t resent and resist reminders to do good and live right.
But if I do remember and if I am strong and stable, why should I be reminded?
- Because I have my lapses from faithfulness.
- Because encouragement and affirmation are a good thing.
Why should someone wait for me to fail before giving input into my life?
