…may have died between conception and gestation.
(I can’t tell yet. Maybe that’s why I don’t know which terms to use…)
I had intended to start writing it before now, hoping to publish it a couple of weeks before the beginning of the next Sunday School quarter (December 2012).
At that point, I still had fresh vision, vigorous zeal, and high hopes for Panting, my first ebook. Alas, as a means of (1) helping support my family and (2) contributing toward my other obligations, Panting turned into a significant dud. Since September 3, I’ve sold less than 35. Instead of flying, the book flopped. That’s the nature of the marketplace and I accept that.
I have also bumped up against the potential implications and applications of this:
“Except the LORD build the house,
they labour in vain that build it…” (Psalm 127:1).
It looks quite clear to me that I must have misread the signs. Again.
Now, providing for my family trumps my “need” to write another ebook.
Thus concludes my explanation. (It may be a lament; I hope it isn’t a complaint.) 😯
My present plan is to do five more…
- weekly postings here of page one of each week’s lessons.
- weekly postings via email (to 4000+ non-bouncing subscribers) of most of page one.
That should take us through the end of Panting and of the current quarter (November 25).
